Data visualization tools allow the user to load and display the ASCII data files. This page contains a links to two major data visualization tools that are free to the user.
ImageJ from NIH (Java Software for MacOS, Windows95+, UNIX)
ImageJ is a general image display and manipulation package developed by the National Institute of Health (NIH). It is Java-based software that can run on multiple platforms. This package can read ASCII images, save the files in standard image formats, animate stacks of images, and save them as QuickTime movies. It has a plugin architecture allowing additional functions to be added.
Image2000 from NASA (Java Software for Mac OSX, Windows95+, UNIX)
Image2000 is a general image display and manipulation package developed by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It is Java-based software that can run on multiple platforms. This package can read ASCII images, save the files in standard image formats, animate stacks of images, and save them as QuickTime movies. It has a plugin architecture allowing additional functions to be added.
Note: For the Macintosh, this software does not run on Mac OS 9 or earlier, it only runs on Mac OSX.
